Labmedics, which has established itself as one of the UK’s leading suppliers of discrete water chemistry analysers, now offers a system with analytical rates of 600 and 250 tests per hour, the Aquakem 600 and Aquakem 250. Aquakem is an innovative range of analysers, representing the latest developments in fluidic, mechanical and electronic technology, whilst incorporating Windows XP as the user interface. Types of matrices analysed include clean water, wastewater and soil/sludge digests. Nutrient analysis includes ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, TON, chloride and sulphate. An added option is a cadmium reduction module for nitrate analysis. Responding to customer requirements the random access analysers have automatic start-up and shut down protocols for true ‘walk away’ analysis. No reagent priming is required, enabling results from the first sample to be available within minutes of starting the analysis. Offering the ultimate in performance Aquakem has been designed for minimum reagent consumption and low operating costs. The unique low volume multicell cuvette provides true discrete analysis virtually eliminating carryover. Typical total reaction volumes of between 100ul and 200ul per test mean extremely low reagent costs. New samples and fresh reagents can be loaded at any time without interrupting ongoing analysis with up to 84 samples into 6x14 position segments. For the higher throughput laboratory optional modules for connection to automated sample transport systems are available for improved productivity.
